Zack Scheib - Executive Director
Zack is the founder and visionary behind World Tree Permaculture. With a lifelong passion for sustainability, he has dedicated himself to creating a world where humans live in harmony with nature and each other. His diverse background in organic agriculture, environmental education, food salvage, and administrative leadership has shaped his holistic approach to building resilient communities. Zack has a natural ability to see connections between complex systems, a skill that guides his work in designing a thriving socio-agro-economic ecosystem. He is especially excited about World Tree’s location-based textile initiative, merging his love for fiber arts with sustainable innovation. Whether he's knitting, spinning, or weaving, Zack brings creativity and purpose to everything he does—always with the goal of leaving the world better than he found it.

Quin Hudon - Operations Manager
Quin brings over 20 years of experience in food safety, customer service, and operations management to World Tree Permaculture. As a seasoned general manager with a track record of leading high-performing teams, he excels in logistics, efficiency, and fostering a strong, people-centered workplace culture. His dedication to sustainability and ensuring access to healthy food aligns perfectly with World Tree’s mission. Quin’s role focuses on streamlining operations, supporting strategic growth, and helping turn vision into reality. A firm believer in the power of kindness and empathy, he thrives on creating an environment where people feel valued and motivated. When he’s not optimizing systems, you can find him enjoying the music of Dave Matthews, a fellow advocate for environmental stewardship.

Haley Schwalm - Advisory Board Member
Haley Schwalm is a law clerk with a strong foundation in nonprofit management and legal expertise. Currently a Juris Doctor candidate at New York Law School, she has been recognized for her leadership and academic excellence. With a background in contract administration, risk management, and ethics, Haley brings valuable knowledge in navigating the legal and regulatory landscape of nonprofits. Her experience working with Planned Parenthood Federation of America has equipped her with skills in contract drafting, risk management, and intellectual property matters, all of which she applies to support World Tree Permaculture's growth and sustainability efforts.
Haley is passionate about environmental preservation and excited to contribute her expertise to the team. She is particularly eager to explore forest farming and engage with the local community. Outside of her professional life, Haley is a vegan and enjoys experimenting with produce and recipes—making her especially excited about the future farm-to-table restaurant at World Tree.

Katrina Thomas - Advisory Board Member
Katrina Thomas is a dedicated health and wellness professional passionate about community education, nutrition, and sustainable living. As a dance and group fitness instructor, she has built a supportive wellness community, helping individuals take control of their health through movement, nutrition, and self-care. Her personal journey of overcoming an autoimmune condition through lifestyle changes fuels her commitment to empowering others.
Katrina holds a Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and is a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach and Women’s Fitness Specialist. With experience in business development, fundraising, and education, she brings valuable insight to World Tree Permaculture. She is particularly excited about contributing to the farm-to-table restaurant and leading workshops on at-home meal preparation for health maintenance. Katrina believes in the power of sustainable food practices to transform health and communities.
