World Tree CSA Nutritional Assistance Program

At World Tree Permaculture, we believe that access to nutritious, sustainably produced food is a fundamental right. Once we have secured our farm, our first community initiative will be launching the Community Nutrition Assistance Program to support food security in the region by providing fresh, locally grown produce to individuals and families in need.

Why This Program Matters

Food insecurity is a persistent challenge in many communities, and access to fresh, healthy food is often limited by economic and geographic barriers. Our program addresses these challenges by:

  • Providing locally grown, nutrient-dense produce to households facing food insecurity

  • Partnering with local food banks and community organizations to distribute fresh food where it’s needed most

  • Empowering individuals and families with education on nutrition, cooking, and food preservation

  • Prioritizing regenerative agriculture to ensure long-term food sustainability

Through these efforts, we aim to nourish our community while demonstrating how local, regenerative food systems can create lasting change.

How It Works

Our Community Nutrition Assistance Program will operate through a combination of direct distribution, partnerships, and educational outreach:

  • CSA Shares for Low-Income Families – A portion of our farm’s harvest will be reserved for donation-based or sliding-scale CSA shares.

  • Partnerships with Local Food Banks & Pantries – We will work with existing hunger relief organizations to supply them with fresh, locally grown food.

  • Community Meal Programs – Hosting farm-to-table meals that bring people together and provide nutritious, home-cooked food to those in need.

  • Education & Outreach – Offering workshops on growing, preparing, and preserving food to empower individuals with practical skills.

Building a Sustainable Model

To ensure the long-term success of this program, we are implementing a self-sustaining funding model that combines community support and regenerative farming practices:

  • Donor-Supported Shares – Individuals and businesses can sponsor CSA shares for families in need.

  • Pay-It-Forward Market Stand – A portion of market sales will go toward funding free or reduced-cost produce for low-income families.

  • Volunteer Engagement – Community members can contribute their time in exchange for food, strengthening the local food system and fostering resilience.

How You Can Help

We are looking for partners, donors, and volunteers to help us make this vision a reality. Whether you can contribute financially, lend a helping hand on the farm, or spread the word, every effort counts in building a more food-secure community.

Join us in creating a regenerative food system that ensures healthy, fresh food is available to all. Together, we can cultivate a future where no one goes hungry.

There is so much more instore down the road! Check out our plans for a community-supported mercantile.
